Stop the Grizzly Bear Hunt in BC

Over the past few years I have been agonizing over the many different news articles and horrific FaceBook posts regarding the trophy hunting of our incredible wildlife here in British Columbia.  Agonizing over the brutality and suffering of these poor beasts at the hand of humans with high powered weapons but also concerned about how many people who hunt for sustenance and banning some types of hunting would adversely affect them.
Recently a couple of events have pushed me to the tipping point to where I can no longer defend or support in any way possible the practice of trophy hunting.  Although I never actually supported or defended this in the past I feel my silence on the subject was support in itself.  I no longer will be silent in this cause and will be using my passion for Nature Photography to help make others aware of the facts and hopefully push our Government to finally put an end to this barbaric practice.  

Alberta ended the Grizzly hunt a decade ago and BC First nations have banned the hunt.  In BC we still issue more than 3,000 licenses to kill these magnificent creatures each year.  Our politicians simply refuse to step up and support any initiative that would begin the process of ending the hunt here in BC.  Our current Premiere supports the hunt and our official opposition is silent.  We need to make this change from the grassroots of our communities.
